Forgetting Your Password in Excel - Don't Panic

For those of you that are not familiar with the ever so popular Excel program, it will allow you to protect your XLS spreadsheet files by using a password. We probably are not the first to admit that this is really great, because it offers a lot of protection to all of your Excel files. However, there will come a time in every individuals life when they forgot their password and they did not write it down. So, what do you do when that password you forgot is Excel? First of all, many people panic when they realize they forgot that password. The first thing you will need to do is not panic. Perhaps this is a file that you created awhile back and you are not able to remember that password? Chances are, when you made that password, you knew one hundred percent that you would be able to remember that password. However, here you are, trying to figure it out. Your mind is blank and you have tried a number of different things, but still you have no such luck.

Then, the nightmare arrives into your mind. You sit there typing in every possible thing and nothing happens. You even check the number lock and the caps lock keys. You switch them to "off" and try again...still, nothing happens. What oh what can you possibly do next? Well, you could start going through each and every possible combination on by one.
