I have AVG and SPybot running to protect my PC from malware. Besides being updated with all the MS security updates, I keep all my drives defragged, including the OS and storage drives with Diskeeper 2009 Pro in automatic defrag mode. Works great. Defragmented drives are always better than fragmented drives, and with the auto defrag feature, time or effort involved with a defrag is not an issue...install and forget.
